Here at Duke - between their own independent creations of pure magic- Duke Residents collaborate on absolutely Cracking projects. The new identify for York Mediale is a prime example of this.

Duke Residents Something More and Hungry Sandwich Club brought their colourful brains together and hatched a plan to create an identity that sat as close and as playful to the content of the festival itself. York Mediale is a unique festival bringing together leading digital artists from around the world. The biennial event will present a 10-day citywide celebration of exhibitions, installations, performances, workshops and more.

The brand is a broad spectrum of stimulating creations. This reflects the exciting, playful and experimental content of the festival. Doing lots of different things also helped remove the festival from any particular aesthetic, and feel more open and accessible.

This is exactly the type of project that makes our hearts sing at Duke. A wonderful example of what Duke Residents can do, achieve and create together.

While these snippets and stills give you a hint of the content and creation - the very best way to see this project in all its glory is by having a peep at the website direct. It is full of code experiments that you can interact and play with – making your own digital art.
